A global leader in forest modernized material pricing by replacing decentralized excel spreadsheets with a unified, lowcode application on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The Neomore built solution moved daily and monthly pricing into one consistent, auditable flow - fully integrated with SAP ERP and aligned with Clean Core principles. It supports ~3,000 reference materials and 8,000 fixed materials, bringing speed, accuracy, transparency, and business owned flexibility to complex pricing. 

Customer Context 

Pricing teams face daily changes in costs (e.g., energy, raw materials, logistics, exchange rates) and must react quickly while preserving margin and auditability. Previously, the process was scattered and error prone; now, pricing data and logic live in one governed platform built for scale.  

Why SAP Build Apps for this case 

The customer required the ability to change pricing logic regularly themselves - a flexibility they had in Excel and wanted to keep. SAP Build Apps provides a governed, low-code environment where citizen developers can adjust calculation logic quickly without ERP customization, or long IT queues. We trained their business power users to maintain and evolve the logic safely. 

Challenges 

• Decentralized & manual: Teams downloaded data from SAP ERP to Excel, did price calculations in Excel and uploaded the result back to SAP ERP manually, no integrations, huge manual and error-prone task.

• Complex calculations, fragile process: Variable cost, daily pricing, monthly pricing, and margin logic across many products caused inconsistencies and slow responses to market change. 

• High operational load: The same repetitive steps were performed every day and every month, with limited traceability and high error risk. 

Solution 

Neomore delivered an integrated SAP Build Apps solution on SAP BTP that centralizes workflows and integrates directly with SAP ERP via APIs. It unifies daily and monthly pricing, ensures calculation accuracy, and maintains a full calculation history. The architecture follows side by side extensions to preserve Clean Core, and it integrates with SAP Build Process Automation and SAP Work Zone for end-to-end user journeys.  

Four Business Apps in One Experience

1. Daily Pricing App - Calculates variable cost, reference price, and sales margin %, supports template functionality, material comparison, and archives results for audit. 

2. Monthly Pricing Update App - Computes monthly prices and updates SAP ERP with new price and margin factors; logs everything to backend. 

3. Sync Backend Tables App - Fetches costs, sends new prices/margins to SAP ERP, tracks progress and totals, and allows selective fetches to optimize load. 

4. View Backend Tables App - Gives controlled visibility into ERP tables for validation and transparency.
